The CII School of Logistics has a core team of experienced professors to guide students through their course. This team is supported by a regular stream of visiting faculty members and industry experts who will share their vast knowledge with the students.


Mr Sukumar Narasimhan

Mr. Sukumar Narasimhan (Ex-Senior VP - RIL) is currently, Chairman - CII Academic Working Group & Member - National Logistics Committee of CII.

Starting his career more than 3 decades ago as a Management Trainee in Materials management with Hindustan Copper Ltd, he has and has spent all his life in the Supply Chain domain. He has held various prestigious positions in Hindustan Ciba-Geigy Limited, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Shipcom Wireless. Mr. Sukumar retired from Reliance Industries Limited as a Senior Vice President for SCM recently, where he was responsible for running SME cell for SCM Improvements across the various businesses of the group.

Mr. Sukumar speaks on SCM with passion as he believes this is perhaps the most talked about and yet least understood function of Business. He is currently associated with CII-IL in the sphere of Education and Training, through which he hopes he will be able to give back to society what he has got in terms of "wisdom" in Supply Chain!



Dr Anita Kumar

Dr. Anita Kumar is Director, CII School of Logistics, Noida campus. She is M.Sc. (International Marketing) from University of Strathclyde, UK, PhD (Supply Chain Management) from University College Cork, Ireland and Fellow of Higher Education Association, UK. She has taught Supply chain and Logistics subjects at several prestigious institutions such as Manchester Business School, Coventry Business School, Amity Business School, IMT Ghaziabad and NIFTEM, Kundli. Besides academics, she has ten years industry experience at the middle/senior management level in distribution, retail and supply chain management in FMCG, food and pharmaceutical industries.

Her research interests include internationalization of food SMEs from emerging markets, supply chain issues of the emerging markets, circular supply chains and environment sustainability. She has published several research papers in journals such as International Journal of Logistics Management, Resources Conservation and Recycling and International Journal of Operations and Production Management. She has also presented research papers in several national and international conferences and has delivered seminars at the British Council, Edinburgh, Amity University (Dubai and Singapore campuses) and University College Cork, Ireland. She is the recipient of Lauritzson Research Fellowship, Ireland and Overseas Development Agency Shared Scholarship, UK.



Mr Sanjay Khanduja

He has over 25 years of corporate experience in senior managerial positions in Supply Chain, Operations and Logistics functions which includes Demand Forecasting, Sourcing, International Procurements, Distribution, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Customer Service & ERP deployments. Prior to joining CII- School of Logistics he has also been visiting faculty to various Management Institutes.

His last corporate assignment was as an Associated Vice President (Operations) with Macmillan India and prior to it was as General Manager with Pearson India (leading learning and Education Company in the world) and also has a senior managerial experience of working with large Indian Organizations like Dabur, HCL, and Torrent Pharmaceuticals etc. Sanjay has diversified Industry experience in setting up Supply chain framework across FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications and Publishing sectors.



Dr Smriti Asthana

A Consultant Faculty at CII School of Logistics, Amity University, Delhi NCR, India. She holds PhD in Management from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, PGDBA in Marketing from Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow and B.Com in Sales and Marketing from ChatarpatiSahuji Maharaj Kanpur University. She has 17 years of experience in corporate and academics, has published and presented research papers in various International and National Journals and Conferences. Her research and teaching interests are in the area of International Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business Operations and Third Party Logistics with specific focus on Performance Measurement of Third Party Logistics Organizations in the Indian Logistics Industry. She is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Innovative Solutions for Implementing Global Supply Chains in Emerging Markets, IGI Global Journal.



Mr Pramendra Kumar

A Seasoned Supply Chain Practitionerwith Competitive blend of 17 years of Industrial experience thus Creating a value differentiative approach and his forte has been to work upon domain practices of Sourcing |Procurement and Supply Chain systems into Technology and Non-Technology space.

As a Supply Chain Functional SME, He has Supported ITES | Telecom and Distribution Sectors and managed his various Professional Assignments with Vodafone | Mahindra Comviva | Xeeva Inc | Paytm | General Motors and Lear Corporation to name a few.

His Notable achievements have been in Creating a Dependable Supply Systems through Sourcing Practices and bench-marking globally | Driving the Cost Efficiencies | Processes Automation along with Improvements in Organizational Operational Performance Index.

Currently with CII| Amity University as Assistant Professor and Academically He is Science Graduate, Mastered in Business Management from Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, with Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and a member of ISM, USA.



Mr Vignesh Vaidyanathan

Vignesh Vaidyanathan is currently working as Academic In-charge, CII School of Logistics, Amity University and handles all its major educational activities to strengthen the functional knowledge of students in the areas of Logistics and SCM. He has done his MBA (Operations) and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with distinction from Mumbai University. He is also an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) & Certified in Logistics, Transportation & Distribution (CLTD) from APICS, USA, APICS Recognized Associate Instructor for CSCP, CLTD, Instructor Training & Principles. He has total professional work experience in Supply Chain domain of over 12 years which includes handling end-to-end Supply Chain processes covering Logistics, Purchasing, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Sales Order Management, Distribution and Transportation. He has also actively involved in Business Analysis / ERP Implementation & support / user training of multiple SCM related modules of various ERP packages like SAP, Oracle, MicrosoftDynamics AX, OTM Transportation Management for multiple clients across geographies.
